Primary objective 
Provide expert Business Intelligence (BI) administration services to ensure BI environments are adequately supported and 
maintained. This position assists with the application and server management of BI systems in order to deliver timely, accurate 
information across the organisation.
Context statement 
DCDD Data Services provide Business Intelligence services across the NTG.
Key duties and responsibilities 
1. Assist with the ongoing system management of various Business Intelligence environments (SAP, and Microsoft Power BI) to
ensure system availability and integrity. 
2. Provide expert advice to users of the various Business Intelligence environments and act as an escalation point of contact for
troubleshooting. 
3. Provide system administration services including user administration across both SAP and Microsoft Power BI products. 
4. Working with the Senior Business Intelligence System Administrator, monitor and administer Business Intelligence application
and server environments to ensure optimal performance. 
5. Conduct security compliance reviews and audits on the various BI platforms in order to identify and manage risk, and to ensure
content is being managed appropriately. 
6. Develop and maintain effective team-oriented partnerships with key stakeholders.
Selection criteria 
Essential 
1. Knowledge of and proven experience administering Enterprise Business Systems, with a preference for Business Intelligence
platforms such as SAP Business Intelligence and Microsoft Power BI. 
2. Experience in administering Windows mid-range/enterprise application environments, including SQL server and/or Oracle
environments. 
3. Well-developed written, oral and interpersonal skills with the ability to author and present technical information in language
appropriate to the audience. 
4. Demonstrated ability to consult, collaborate and negotiate effectively and strategically with a broad range of internal and
external stakeholders at all levels. 
5. Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
6. Proven ability to work with minimum supervision and as a member of a team. 
7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, respectful and
innovative.
Desirable 
1. Experience with Microsoft PowerBI, SAP Business Objects, Microsoft SQL Server, and data modelling tools. 
2. Qualifications – Tertiary qualifications in Information management, IT or related field.
