Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Director, the Office Manager will play a key role in supporting staff, managing office processes, and coordinating internal operations. This position requires a highly organised professional who can manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and foster an efficient and welcoming work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Supervise daily administrative operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with organisational standards.
* Contribute to the planning, review, and improvement of office services, establishing priorities and maintaining high office service standards.
* Manage the distribution of staff, workspace, and office resources to ensure daily operations run smoothly and meet service demands.
* Assign, supervise, and monitor admin staff work performance, providing guidance, support, feedback, and corrective action where required.
* Provide leadership and training to administrative staff to strengthen capability, productivity, and service quality.
* Oversee staff rosters, workloads, and workflow allocation, ensuring adequate coverage for business needs.
* Manage office records, accounts, and documentation, ensuring systems are accurate, organised, and compliant.
* Liaise with other health professionals, medical practice managers, and director to coordinate clinical activities.
* Oversee the maintenance and functionality of office and medical equipment and systems, arrange repairs, monitor inventory, schedule delivery and ensure timely servicing and replenishment.
* Monitor clinic procedures to ensure administrative and operational practices complies with relevant NSW healthcare legislation, policies and obligations.
* Support the clinic's HR and administrative functions by coordinating with recruitment activities, organising onboarding for new clinical and administrative staff, maintaining rosters and payroll records, coordinating training, and providing day-to-day guidance to team members.
Summary of role requirements:
* Tamworth surgery is open on Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm.
* Qualification requirement: Minimum Diploma in Business or a related field, or 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu.
* Work experience requirement: Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
* Expected salary: $76,515 - $80,000 per year
