Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced medical secretary to provide high-quality secretarial support to GPs and colleagues. The role involves managing patient enquiries face-to-face and by phone in a busy GP practice, requiring flexibility, accuracy, and excellent customer care skills.
Shifts are between 7:30 am and 8:00 pm, Monday to Saturday, with the possibility of additional hours during busy periods or staff leave.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide High-Quality Secretarial Services: Support GPs and colleagues with administrative tasks, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
* Manage Patient Enquiries: Handle face-to-face and phone inquiries, providing professional and courteous service.
* Coordinate Administrative Tasks: Manage hospital bookings, referrals, meetings, office management, invoicing, and credit control as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Excellent Customer Care Skills: Ability to work accurately under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
* Good Communication Skills: Organized, well-presented, personable, polite, and patient individual with excellent communication skills.
* Understanding of Primary Care Systems: Desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
