About the Role
Do you aim high Think differently Were looking for an experienced journalist who can deliver distinctive relevant and impactful stories for a Queensland audience. If you are curious creative and capable this could be for you. You should have proven experience of producing compelling and complex news stories. While you can work effectively and independently we also value collaboration and a supportive attitude.
Responsibilities
Write compile and present accurate concise and clear stories using a creative and original approach across platforms on a daily basis
Proactively generate and contribute original story ideas to the discussion with newsroom leadership teams.
Research story material identify suitable sources and arrange and conduct interviews to support own and others output
Present live-to-air reports to a consistently high standard and participate in live Q&A
About You
Youre a seasoned reporter with excellent research skills and demonstrated editorial judgement; accomplished in newsgathering and story production. You will also have strong and effective multi-media production techniques with the following experience and attributes :
A creative self-starter with proven ability in breaking stories that can bring complex issues to
Accomplished presentation skills for all multi-media programming including for Q&A and live coverage.
Strong digital news writing skill is essential and experience working in a cross-platform filing environment.
Strong networks together with knowledge of major social economic political and cultural issues.
