This pivotal position reports directly to the Executive Leader of Operations and is part of our Operations Leadership Team.
As Regional Director, you will champion cultural initiatives ensuring the South Region has a strong customer-focused, agile, and high-performing operating model.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure regional bulk water systems, industrial pipelines and irrigation systems are managed and operated in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with shareholder and community expectations.
* Deliver the operational services in a sustainable and transparent manner that meets or exceeds corporate objectives and targets.
* Ensure compliance with all asset related requirements including dam safety, and that obligations are understood and met by the team.
* Understand, identify, assess and manage risks associated with operations and infrastructure, and develop mitigation strategies in accordance with stakeholder expectations.
* Ensure strategies and plans for the region to enhance financial position, respond to changes and trends in the external environment, and strategically position for response.
Requirements:
* Over 10 years of leadership experience in bulk water infrastructure, industrial pipelines, irrigation systems, or a closely related sector.
* Deep industry insight and a proven track record of strategic oversight at the senior level.
* Postgraduate qualifications in management, engineering, business, or project management are highly desirable and will be viewed as a strong asset.
* Strong Leadership Skills - thought leadership to drive continuous improvement philosophy and sustainable business environment.
* Strong Safety Leadership - foster outstanding safety leadership for the region by actively driving cultural changes required to clearly demonstrate commitment to safety through engagement, mentoring and empowering.
