About the Role Reporting to the Head Engineer, the Maintenance Fitter position willundertake routine preventative maintenance of plant and equipment, withequipment modification and fabrication of new equipment when required.

Key Responsibilities: Undertake preventative maintenance on plant and equipmentAttend break downs, plan and execute a most effective, efficient and safe return to productionReport plant operational and safety issues to Head Engineer, contribute to planned corrective actionMaintain workshop and equipment in a neat, tidy and safe conditionEnsure after engineering maintenance work completed that associated plant is free of foreign objects (engineering contaminants, tools etc) before handing back to productionEnsure all required forms and registers associated with the works are completedAssist in developing and introducing improved engineering methods throughout the plant while maintaining ISO ****, HACCP and GMP standards Skills andExperience: Engineering Cert 3 (metal fabrication or machining preferred)Competent with manual arc, mig, and tig welding and with plasma and gas cuttingKnowledge of conveyers, chain and sprocket bearing setupExperience with pneumaticsUnderstanding of basic electrical automationProven practical experienceGood communication and interpersonal skill with a demonstrated ability to communicate and liaise effectively with staffWell developed work planning and organisation skills, and demonstrated ability to address fluctuating work demands and changing prioritiesExperience with lathe and mill operationsExperience with hydraulicsIf you have the experience required for the role we wantyou on our team.
