We're looking for a motivated Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice 1st or 2nd year to join our supportive team and help keep our fleet operating safely and reliably. In this full‐time, permanent role, you'll receive comprehensive training, opportunities to grow your skills, and the chance to work with experienced mechanics.

This is a permanent, full‐time position with competitive pay rates. A toolkit may be provided subject to role requirements and all necessary training, including support toward a Heavy Rigid licence where required.

Responsibilities
* Learn and assist in maintaining road vehicles and plant machines to meet legislative standards
* Participate in scheduled preventative maintenance services
* Address driver daily vehicle reports (DVR) under supervision and file as required
* Assist in fault diagnostics for mechanical and electrical issues
* Support test drives or equipment operations to ensure correct repairs
* Contribute to ensuring all equipment is safe to use and stored correctly
* Commit to attending all TAFE/RTO training blocks and completing the formal training components set out in the Training Plan
Skills and Experience
* Willingness to undertake an apprenticeship – no prior experience required
* Genuine interest in mechanical or heavy vehicle work
* Eagerness to learn and contribute to the maintenance of heavy and light vehicles
* Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team
* Basic problem‐solving skills and ability to think through mechanical issues
* Strong commitment to safety
Additional Qualifications (Not Essential)
* Certificate II in Automotive
* Forklift Ticket
* HR Licence
