The work that Boeing does contributes to aviation and aerospace products, technologies and services that make a difference in the lives of people around the world.Responsibilities:Provide high-level support to the Finance team and collaboration with the Project and scheduling teams.Analysis of Cost and Schedule performance, communicate financial insights and project status to internal and external stakeholders.Development and maintenance of project budgets and forecasts in conjunction with cost account managersDevelop and maintain financial models, comprehensive reports and dashboards to monitor project performance.Ensure financial compliance and accuracy in collaboration with project teams.Support the month end process with the required journals and reconciliations, including all required reporting.Support estimating and pricing activitiesRecognizing areas for continuous Improvement as well as participation in continuous improvement initiatives.Training and mentoring of other staff within the teamExperience/QualificationsThe successful candidate will ideally have sound knowledge across some/all of the following areas:Bachelor Degree in finance, business or commerce; or equivalent experience in the workforceRelevant experience in a project accounting, management accounting or cost control roleAdvanced Excel Skills - Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, PowerPivot, and dashboard management.Ability to adapt to different situations, be proactive and organise priorities autonomously to meet deadlinesGood communication skills and ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to effectively manage financial aspects of diverse projects.Experience in Estimating and Pricing of varying complexityExperience in Earned Value Management (EVM) and experience in the use of Earned Value Management Systems for project financial management.Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.About usBoeing Defence Australia is shaping the future of aerospace and delivering some of the nation's most important programs for the Australian Defence Force.
