We are inviting Expressions of Interest from Social Workers interested in consulting from our multidisciplinary Cancer & Wellness Centre in the Greater Brisbane / Redlands area.
This opportunity is suited to an independent practitioner seeking to work within a collaborative, patient-centred environment supporting individuals and families navigating cancer and complex health challenges. Practitioners will have the autonomy to manage their own caseload while benefiting from full reception support, booking and billing systems, marketing of the centre and its services, and a strong internal referral network.
We are seeking professionals passionate about advocacy, psychosocial support, and working alongside a multidisciplinary team to enhance overall wellbeing for oncology patients and the broader community.
Qualifications
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and provide effective support
* Understanding of healthcare systems and ability to navigate resources efficiently
* Experience in case management, advocacy, and developing tailored care plans
* Empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution skills
* Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously
* Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
* Membership or eligibility for membership with recognized professional bodies
* Knowledge of community resources and services within the Greater Brisbane Area is an advantage
