We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to the development of next-generation miniaturised optical systems and devices at the nanoscale.
This full-time, fixed-term position is based at the Parkville campus and offers an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Transformative Meta-Optical Systems (TMOS).
Job Responsibilities
* Design, simulate, and fabricate meta-optical devices, including the development of new characterisation methods.
* Collaborate with researchers across TMOS nodes and present research at conferences and seminars.
* Prepare and publish research papers in leading journals.
* Assist in supervising and mentoring research students.
Requirements:
* PhD in Physics or Electrical Engineering (or closely related field).
* Strong experimental skills in nanofabrication and optical characterisation.
* Expertise in theoretical modelling and simulation of optical devices (desirable).
* Experience in experimental semiconductor device physics and electronics (desirable).
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
* Proven track record of high-quality research publications and presentations.
* Project management skills and ability to meet research deadlines.
