Role Description

This is a postgraduate, part-time role with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time, on-site position as a Site Safety Coordinator at San Marcos Infrastructure. The Site Safety Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring health and safety in the workplace, conducting occupational health assessments, providing safety training, and implementing workplace safety measures and procedures. The role requires expertise in construction safety and overseeing safety protocols.

Qualifications

* Health & Safety, Construction Safety, and Workplace Safety Skills

* Experience in conducting occupational Health assessments

* Ability to provide safety training

* Knowledge of safety regulations and standards

* Strong communications and interpersonal skills

* Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

* Relevant certification in occupational health and safety

* Experience in the construction industry is a plus

*Competent in Microsoft office and safety reporting systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Production and distribution of the Weekly Toolbox Talks and Training/Awareness for the Project team.

* Review, monitor and management of compliance for all workers on site regarding all Health and Safety requirements.

* Monitor site activities to ensure safe work practices carried out.

* Coordination, management and auditing of permits and permit processes to adhere to client Permit to Work (PTW)

* Keeping all Safety data Registers up to date.

* Report health and safety data and frequency rates to senior management (internal).

* Conducting quarterly revisions of company SWMS.

* Communicate with all Subcontractors to achieve daily tasks safely.

* Undertake Daily site safety inspections, ensuring all work meets all legislative and safety requirements.

* Identify hazards and implement control measures

* Investigate and report incidents, near misses and hazards and follow the correct procedure.

* Management of require documentation for vehicles and plant

*Management of PPE, tools and equipment.

* Licenses (White Card & Driver's License) Must be willing to travel a must.

* STORE AND HANDLE DANGEROUS GOODS AND HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES (Optional, preferred)
