Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing assistance and support to the onsite team. They will ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor the data centre Amazon facilities infrastructure platform
* Serve as a Point of Contact for internal and external teams
* Assist with the development of communication and escalation protocols designed to improve the team's performance
* Contribute to outage post mortem analysis
* Ensure records are updated in a timely manner
* Assist with coordination and communication during emergency recovery efforts
* Assist with the development of tools that will enhance the team's performance
Requirements
* 2+ years of Electrical or Mechanical Experience
* 1+ years of experience working with Building and/or Electrical Platform Management Systems
* 2+ Years' Experience in Data Centre Engineering/ Operations
Preferred Qualifications
* 3+ years' experience working in a large-scale data centre and 3+ years' experience in a NOC (Network Operations Centre) or similar
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Access)
* Ability to maintain SLAs through the implementation of proactive issue detection and reporting tools and ability to follow and complete support procedures, system documentation, and issue tracking entries, root cause analysis and complex problem solving skills
