Summary
Play a key part in ensuring the safety and comfort of students by providing a smooth and secure bus service that enhances their daily school experience.
Responsibilities
* Check student documentation when students enter the bus and assist those who need help entering or exiting the bus.
* Safely drive the bus to pick up and return students to designated stops before and after school, in accordance with an approved route on an approved time schedule.
* Drive the bus for school excursions.
* Perform basic maintenance checks on the bus (tyres, lights, oil) before use.
* Report behavioural student incidents, traffic incidents and near misses.
* Adhere to standard hours: 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM and 2:15 PM – 4:15 PM (split shift).
About You
* Previous experience driving children or students, ensuring their safety and well‐being.
* Proven track record of safely operating a school bus on designated routes and schedules.
* Experience driving on school excursions or field trips.
* Familiarity with performing basic vehicle checks to keep the bus in good working condition.
* Experience with incident reporting and communication.
* Valid LR/MR Driving Licence.
* Holder of a Driver Authorisation from the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
* Religious affiliation is not required.

Location & Employment Details
St Bonaventure's College – Flagstone (S)
Start date: Commencing ASAP
Work hours: 20 hours/week (split shift – AM & PM) or 10 hours/week (AM/PM)
Salary: School Service Staff Level 3 – $34.17 + split shift allowance + superannuation
Status: Term‐time fixed term until the end of the 2026 school year (school holidays unpaid).
