Advance Child and Youth Mental Health Services with Metro South Health!

Make an impact in child and youth mental health as a Nurse Practitioner with Metro South Health. Based at Logan Central, this permanent part-time role offers the chance to provide advanced practice care, lead service development, and support young people and their families through early intervention programs!

About your role

As a Nurse Practitioner within the Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) Early Intervention Programs, you will use your advanced clinical skills to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and young people.

In this role you will:

- Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment, referral, and psychotherapy within your scope of practice.
- Prescribe and manage medication in line with NMBA endorsement and HHS policy.
- Lead the development and implementation of the headspace inReach program.
- Enhance service integration, ensuring seamless transitions across CYMHS and headspace.
- Contribute to research, education, and system improvements to support best practice in youth mental health care.

About you

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Nurse Practitioner who will be an advocate for person-centred care and an innovator in youth-focused models of service delivery.

You will bring:

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.
- A Master's qualification in Nurse Practitioner studies.
- At least 5 years' clinical experience in addiction and mental health nursing.
- Advanced skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, and care coordination.
- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to mentor, support, and motivate others.
- Demonstrated ability to lead service improvements, implement change, and contribute to research.
- Highly developed communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
