An excellent opportunity exists for a highly motivated and dynamic Migration Assistant / Junior Migration Agent at Calhaem Wilson and Co. Migration Agents, Level 6, 443 Little Collins Street, Melbourne, Victoria 3000. This role is ideal for those studying a Graduate Diploma of Migration Law and Practice and who wish to get real, hands-on experience in a busy migration firm.
Calhaem Wilson and Co are a busy migration firm, with 4 full time staff members. You will be supported by our Principal Migration Agents, and other Migration Assistant staff members. We specialise in all types of visa and citizenship applications to Australia, including but not limited to family, skilled, employer sponsored and matters at the Administrative Review Tribunal. Our Principal Migration Agents have a combined 60+ years experience preparing visa applications and reviews, and have extensive knowledge to share.
We are seeking a passionate and inquisitive Migration Assistant / Junior Migration Agent to join our team.
The ideal candidate will either be studying, or have recently completed studying for the Graduate Diploma of Migration Law and Practice, however this is not a necessity. Candidates who are in the process of undertaking the Capstone exam will be highly favoured, however this is not a necessity. Candidates who have recently completed and passed the Capstone exam and are awaiting registration, or are registered with the Office of Migration Agents Registration Authority will be highly favoured.
Ultimately, we are ultimately looking for a switched-on, studious individual who has a genuine passion and interest in migration. If you are not undertaking current studies, but have a real passion and/or experience, we invite you to make an application.
Supporting this busy firm, your responsibilities will be varied and will include although not limited to:
* Various shared administrative duties including
* answering telephones and diary management
* Acting as a first point of contact by greeting clients
* Typing, filing and location of files, photocopying
* Mail and filing duties
* Errands and banking
* Immigration application clerical matters
* Uploading of documents to relevant platforms
* Dealing professionally and providing additional administration support to clients such as photocopying and assisting clients in completing application forms
* Other duties as directed
The successful candidate will possess attention to detail and an ability to work in a high-pressure deadline driven environment. You will be entrusted with critical information that will require your utmost discretion. As you excel in the role there is a possibility that your duties will expand. Your responsibilities will be many and varied, so you will need to enjoy variety and work challenges.
In alignment with statutory requirements, this position will entitle you to 12% superannuation contributions, 4 weeks additional leave, and all other standard sick leave and other entitlements.
