About The Role
The Executive Sous Chef will oversee all aspects of the culinary operations, assist in leading staff, and manage all food-related functions according to the Fullerton Brand Standards. The role focuses on improving guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen areas such as banquets, room service, restaurants, bars, lounges, and the employee cafeteria, as well as support areas like stewarding and purchasing. The Executive Sous Chef will also act in the absence of the Executive Chef.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage daily operations to ensure quality and standards meet guest expectations.
* Enhance service quality through effective communication, guidance, and coaching.
* Review guest feedback and satisfaction data to identify areas for improvement.
* Lead, influence, and motivate team members, demonstrating honesty and integrity.
* Build mutual trust and cooperation among staff.
* Ensure fair and consistent application of property policies.
* Review staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial goals.
* Implement and uphold the brand's safety standards.
Requirements:
* Previous leadership experience in the culinary field.
* Legal right to work in Australia.
* Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Food & Safety Supervisor certificate.
* Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
* Highly responsible and reliable.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Focus on guest needs, maintaining calmness and courtesy.
