Overview
Surgical and Day Surgery Wards are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse/Midwife Educator to oversee educational programs for staff. This permanent full-time position involves identifying learning needs, planning, developing, delivering, and evaluating education.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work with Nursing/Midwifery Unit Managers to establish and maintain a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice. The CNME is responsible for coordinating education and development programs for staff in the ward/unit/service.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with AHPRA, relevant clinical/education post-registration qualification or experience, recent extensive clinical experience, and demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate education. Additionally, highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
