We are seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager to lead the delivery of multiple large-scale projects in parallel, ensuring successful outcomes across cost, schedule, risk, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
About the Role
This senior role is responsible for shaping delivery strategies, mentoring project teams, overseeing portfolios and driving innovation and continuous improvement. Projects are typically delivered via design and construct contracts or direct subcontractor engagement, requiring strong leadership and technical expertise.
This role also contributes to strategic planning, capability development, and operational excellence across the function, supporting a clean energy future.
About You
* Approximately 10 plus years' experience in project management, ideally in energy, utilities, infrastructure or construction.
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and foster positive working relationships and culture with internal and external stakeholders.
* Industry experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure and construction would be highly desirable.
* Advanced application and understanding of project management methodologies (PMBOK, WBS, EVM, etc.).
* Proven success managing complex projects including environmental approvals, land procurement, cultural heritage and sustainability.
* Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
* Sound time management and coordination skills, including problem-solving skills while working under tight deadlines and acting decisively to make informed decisions.
* Expertise in risk management and contracting strategies (EPC, design, construction, commissioning).
* Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
* Eligible for membership with the Australian Institute of Project Management.
* Tertiary qualification in the relevant field/discipline.
