The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced and motivated Roof Plumber/Leading Hand to join our Operations team. This is a hands-on leadership role, suited to someone who enjoys driving productivity while mentoring others, can foster culture and thrives in a dynamic environment with plenty of variety. We have 20 on the tools so we're looking to build on the depth of our team.
In this role, you'll be supported by our Operations Manager while you:
* Lead and supervise a small team of 4 roof plumbers, providing on-the-job support and guidance.
* Coordinate daily site activities, materials, and trades to keep projects running smoothly.
* Carry out and oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of roofing systems to the highest industry regulatory framework.
* Promote a strong safety culture through toolbox talks, compliance checks, and WHS practices.
* Manage a small budget with a view to building team culture including facilitating a monthly team lunch.
* Act as the on-site point of contact for clients and scheduled contractors, representing Roofrite with professionalism.
What We're Looking For
* BPC (VBA) Registered Roof Plumber
* Minimum 7 years' experience as a qualified roof plumber
* Proven experience leading small teams or work crews
* Strong knowledge of AS3500.3, site logistics, scheduling, and resource management
* Working at Heights, White Card, and valid Victorian driver's licence
* A safety-first mindset, with a reputation for reliability, teamwork, and integrity
* First Aid/CPR certification (desirable)
* EWP Licence (desirable)
