CPC Engineering is aproudly owned and operated Western Australian engineering company. We provide Design, Construction, and Maintenance services with regional workshops across the State to support our multi-disciplinary approach.
We are seeking a hands-on, technically proficient Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Design & Project Engineering team working across a diverse range of minerals processing projects. This is an opportunity to take on a key role in the delivery of high-quality engineering outcomes while contributing to both greenfield developments and sustaining capital projects.
Responsibilities
Reporting to our Principal Mechanical Engineer & Group Manager your key responsibilities will cover (but not limited to):
* Performing design calculations for minerals processing plants, including flotation, carbon-in-leach circuits, pumping systems, and conveyors.
* Delivering engineering packages including datasheets, equipment specifications, layout development, and drawing reviews.
* Applying sound design theories, principles, and practices to practical project outcomes.
* Providing a working knowledge of bulk solids handling and conveyor design.
* Managing and delivering multiple small projects concurrently.
* Supporting construction and commissioning activities on-site as required.
Skills & Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
* 10 years experience in the mining and minerals processing industry, particularly with gold and copper projects.
* Strong technical background – capable of reviewing and guiding design outputs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills with an ability to juggle priorities across several smaller-scale projects.
* Commitment to safety in design and design for constructability principles.
* Exposure to greenfield and brownfield project environments.
* Familiarity with Australian and international engineering codes and standards.
