GHD has been involved in dams since the company's birth almost 90 years ago. We have the largest dedicated dams engineering team in Australia and one of the larger teams across the globe.
In response to continuing growth in our business, we are currently seeking a Brisbane based, **Civil Designer **, to support our Dams teams.
Working with the Design Team Leader, as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team across a variety of Dams, Tunnels and Geotechnical projects with clients ranging from key water utility and transport providers to major mining clients, this position offers an extensive variety of work that will see you involved in:
- Delivery of three-dimensional design models and AutoCAD Drawings for our tailings dam, water dam, tunnels and geotechnical teams, as well as other like-minded business groups;
- Design of associated civil structures such as roads, ramps, drainage structures and embankments; and
- Preparation of design models, suitable for digital issue to our end client and for construction purposes.
What you will bring to the team
- Experience in the use of 12d software;
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering (e.g., Bachelor of Technology, Associate Degree, or similar) and have a passion for civil infrastructure design;
- An eye for detail with a strong focus on the production of quality outputs;
- Strong capability in the compilation/modification of AutoCAD drawing files.
