The Specialist Palliative Care Community Service is offering an exciting and innovative opportunity for a Clinical Nurse to work with the Specialist Palliative Care Team.
This service operates 5 days a week, and works collaboratively with other community-based services, hospital inpatient teams and multidisciplinary Allied Health services.
About the role:
As a Clinical Nurse within our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in the screening, assessment, and care coordination for palliative care clients in the community. This advanced practice position emphasizes enhanced inter-professional and client/carer communication, ensuring comprehensive care planning for our vulnerable patient population.
Operating at Nurse Grade 6.1, your responsibilities will primarily focus on delivering high-quality nursing services while also supporting clinical leadership, management, education, and research initiatives. You will provide guidance to Registered Nurses (RNs), Enrolled Nurses (ENs), and other non-registered personnel, ensuring adherence to established service quality standards and safety protocols.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager of the Cancer Inpatient Unit, you will develop into a key leader in our nursing framework within Central Queensland CQ Health. Your ability to navigate complex patient situations and work collaboratively within a team will enhance the quality of care we provide. About you:
* Registered Nurse Qualification
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* A relevant postgraduate certificate or postgraduate diploma is an expectation of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development plan.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $5,495 is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
