The business is currently undergoing a period of rapid growth and require a full-time Medical Billing Officer to join a team of 45+ in our Spring Hill head office.
The Opportunity
* Manage the inflow of doctor requests and billing sheets
* Billing & Processing Medical Claims using appropriate item numbers ie MBS/Medicare, Private Health Funds, Workcover, DV
* Analyse claims and obtain missing information as required
* Gain knowledge of the healthcare process and suggest opportunities for process improvement
* Support other teams with ad hoc requests from doctor clients
Your Skills and Experience
* Strong experience with MS Office suite, with proven Excel experience
* Experience in Genie/Gentu software
* Ability to recognise trends or identify conflicting data, with a high attention to detail
* Sound understanding of MBS Billing Item Numbers / Health Funds Claims
* Ensure compliance with all billing regulations
* Medical Billing experience, preferably surgical/specialist
* Highly developed time management skills; ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
* Confidence navigating multiple software packages
* Desirable: Medical Billing experience, preferably surgical/specialist
