Occupational Health and Safety Manager
The successful candidate will coordinate activities to improve occupational health and safety standards, provide advice and support to staff, and report on hazards in a timely manner.
This role involves frequent travel across various sites to engage with stakeholders, deliver training, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
* Provide guidance and advice to team members to ensure they are aware of and comply with current occupational health and safety standards.
* Be the primary point of contact for all employees regarding occupational health and safety matters.
* Deliver training and workshops to support improving occupational health and safety standards and provide advice to team members and specific business units on related requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with the delivery of occupational health and safety strategic initiatives and projects.
* Participating in and contributing to the Work Health and Safety Committee, including coordinating meetings and taking minutes.
* Organising and booking training for the organisation's occupational health and safety representatives.
* Managing the coordination of required independent medical examinations and fitness for work cases.
* Ensuring hazards and unsafe workplace conditions or practices have been identified, reported, and actioned.
Requirements include:
* A Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
* A well-rounded understanding of the relevant occupational health and safety act and regulations.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills to influence others, provide guidance, coaching, and intervention as required.

* Have a deep understanding of relevant occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
