Your new role: As the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Kidney Supportive Care, you will provide advanced clinical leadership within a world-leading kidney service. You will drive the development and expansion of the Kidney Supportive Care program, guide evidence-based clinical practice, support multidisciplinary collaboration, and empower patients and families with informed, compassionate care. Your expertise will shape high-quality, person-centred outcomes across the kidney disease continuum. In this role, you will: * Provide expert clinical consultancy, including symptom management and advanced care planning for patients with end-stage kidney disease. * Drive education, research participation, and quality initiatives that enhance service outcomes and patient experience. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, providing leadership in change management, clinical governance, and service optimisation. About you: You are an experienced and confident clinical leader with advanced expertise in kidney health or supportive/palliative care. You thrive in a multidisciplinary environment, excel at navigating complex clinical decision-making, and are passionate about improving patient experience and outcomes through innovation, education, and person-centred care. You will bring: * Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in kidney care, supportive care, or related specialties. * Strong leadership capability, including change management, clinical governance, and program coordination. * High-level communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to influence practice and build effective partnerships. * Commitment to mentoring, education, and fostering a positive, learning-focused workplace culture. About us: Princess Alexandra Hospital: The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant. We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment. We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
