We are currently seeking an experienced Design Engineering to join at Engineering team based at our Head Office in Dandenong South, VIC.
About the role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working closely with the Sales, Production and the Quality Team, this role focuses on the providing of technical designs and documentations for new orders, and in assisting with the development of existing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Working effectively as part of the Engineering team to deliver high quality engineering drafting and design services;
- Developing 3D CAD models using AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD;
- Produce high-quality design drawings, liaising with Management, Sales and Team Leaders to meet client needs, ensuring compliance with the relevant standards;
- Direct liaison between Engineering and Production teams;
- Serve as a point of contact for technical design related inquiries;
- Implement best practice design principles and standards, and identify and implement innovative design solutions.
To succeed in this role, you will have
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Essential);
- Solid mechanical design, drafting and modelling experience in AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD;
- Technical competence in design requirements and process implementation;
- High degree of competency in Microsoft office Suite of programs;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work in a busy environment and achieve a high level of accuracy.
