The Opportunity
As the Online Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for the execution of eCommerce trading activities within the Samsung direct to consumer (DTC) division working with the eCommerce sales team to achieve Samsung direct sales strategy.
The Online Merchandising Specialist will bring strong organisational, planning and time-management skills, with a proven capacity to prioritise and perform time-sensitive tasks coupled with a keen eye for detail. You are a highly organised self-starter who is delivery focused and possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage eCommerce activities including campaign activations, site merchandising and product builds.
- Drive best-in-class campaign activations, embedding robust working processes, and planning and executing onsite merchandising and user journeys to optimise performance.
- Support user experience enhancements, delivering projects to improve online journey's, product discoverability, and merchandising.
- Working with the sales specialists in developing and planning onsite activations and initiatives
- Support and work with the wider direct to consumer team to assist in planning and executing campaigns and initiatives
- Assist in regular optimisation initiatives and day-to-day trading activities
- Support testing and implementation of new website enhancements
- Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities to drive conversion outcomes and solutions for improved customer experiences.
- Review content and funnel to find what is performing and the parts that are limiting conversions/creating sub-standard customer experiences: content, messaging, product implementation and develop plans to improve these areas
- Build an onsite merchandising strategy to drive sales and conversion (cross sells / up sells, product placement and promotions)
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful for the role, you should have a "can do" attitude with a proactive approach. Relevant experience / skills include:
- 4+ years ecommerce merchandising or optimisation experience
- Experience using a content management system CMS (Adobe Experience Manager & SAP Hybris preferable)
- Executing eCommerce activities such as merchandising and campaign delivery
- Strong understanding of UX, IA and Accessibility principles
- Positive and proactive approach
- Strong interpersonal and group communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail and focus on quality.
