 
        
        Café Cornucopia in Balmain East is looking for a talented Baker & Pastry Chef to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about creating exceptional breads, pastries, and desserts that leave a lasting impression on our customers.
About the Role
You will be responsible for preparing and baking a wide variety of goods fresh each day, including:
- Sourdough and artisan breads
- Croissants, muffins, cakes, and tarts
- Seasonal pastries and daily specials
- Sweet and savoury baked items for the café display
This is a hands-on role with early morning starts to ensure the café is stocked with fresh, high-quality baked goods each day.
We are looking for someone who can master the classics while also bringing their own creativity and unique touch, helping Café Cornucopia stand out for some of the best baked goods in Sydney.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a baker and/or pastry chef in a café, patisserie, or bakery environment
- Strong skills in sourdough fermentation, dough preparation, pastry techniques, and cake decorating
- Creativity and passion for experimenting with flavours and presentation
- Ability to manage daily baking schedules and work independently
- A strong commitment to quality, consistency, and attention to detail

Pay: $51,423.53 – $82,622.63 per year
Expected hours: 24 – 38 per week
