Job Description
Rocky Creek Abattoir Pty Ltd is seeking 10 reliable casual meat work labourers to join our beef and small stock processing operations in Tolga and Atherton region for an immediate start. Work is performed on both the processing floor and boning room, with early morning starts (6:00–7:00am), Monday to Friday. Key responsibilities for these positions will include: -Physical labour
* Picking and packaging meat products.
-Use of tools and equipment for meat processing Requirements of the role : -Being on your feet, standing for long periods of time -Walking long distances -Lifting heavy objects -Working in various conditions -Be available for shift work as well as working the entire season Minimum Selection Criteria Applicants should be able to demonstrate: 1. Reliability and Work Ethic o Ability to attend work consistently and on time o Willingness to follow instructions and workplace procedures
2. Physical Capacity for Manual Work o Ability to perform repetitive tasks o Comfortable standing for long periods and undertaking manual handling 3. Teamwork and Communication o Ability to work effectively in a team environment o Basic level of English sufficient to understand instructions and workplace safety requirements
4. Willingness to Work in a Meat Processing Environment o Comfortable working in cold environments and around raw meat o Willingness to undertake required workplace health and safety measures, including Q Fever vaccination o Willingness to undertake on-the-job training Pay and Conditions
* Wages and conditions in accordance with the Meat Industry Award 2020 – starting hourly rate of $30.35 and after 3 months will increase to level 2 (if competency is met) at a rate of $31.36
* Casual position with a minimum 30 hours per week)

Additional Requirements
* Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening may be required
* Applicants must have the right to work in Australia
* Willingness to undergo Q Fever vaccination (required for working in a meat processing environment)
* Ability to travel to the worksite
