RelyOn Australia is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO No 40754) specialising in safety-critical training and consulting services. We service the Arboriculture, Horticulture, Telecommunications, Rail, Mining, Renewable Generation, Thermal Generation, and Electrical Transmission and Distribution sectors.

We are a rapidly growing business with a vibrant and diverse team, entering an exciting phase of expansion both locally and internationally. We are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join our team at our Head Office in Bayswater, Melbourne .


About the Role

The Finance Manager is responsible for the accounting operations, financial and management reporting, forecasting and statutory compliance for the Competency Training business. This role will also support executive management with financial insights and analysis to help the business unit achieve its targets and support the integration of the Competency Training business into the RelyOn Australia group.


About You

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to build strong partnerships and relationships, coupled with excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Attention to detail, an analytical mindset, and a commitment to integrity and ethical conduct are essential. Responsibilities

* Support the integration of the Competency Training business into the RelyOn Australia group and support the achievement of integration synergy targets.
* Preparation of monthly financial and management accounts for the Competency Training business, including all financial reconciliations.
* Partner with the Competency Training operations team and the ROA Executive team to support the Competency Training business to meet its financial and operational targets.
* Preparation of financial budgets and forecasts for the Competency Training business.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including BAS, Payroll Tax and workers compensation reporting.
* Manage cashflows for the Competency Training business.
* Provide financial reporting to the Global RelyOn Group through the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) system.
* Provide financial analysis and insights to support both strategic and operational decision making.


Knowledge and Experience

* Significant knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices.
* Experience as a finance lead in a medium to large company.
* Experience in accounting auditing and compliance requirements.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB or similar).
* Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (not essential but would be of benefit).
* Degree qualified in finance / accounting.
* Membership of an industry association (CA, CPA).
