The Role
At St Clair Recreation Centre, we are dedicated to promoting health and wellness within our community. Our state‐of‐the‐art facilities and diverse programs offer a welcoming environment for individuals of all ages and fitness levels. We are seeking suitably qualified and highly motivated Group Fitness Instructors and Health & Fitness Instructors to work within our Health and Fitness areas.
Group Fitness Instructor
* Deliver high quality Group Fitness classes within all prescribed program formats / guidelines
* Ensure the required Group Fitness Studio is set up and the class is ready to start as per scheduled time, and the studio is packed up at the end of class
* Ensure the Health & Safety of all participants
* Foster a sense of belonging and build rapport with participants
Health and Fitness Instructor
* Work as a team member to provide the very best health and fitness advice through consultation in a friendly atmosphere
* Supervision of Health Club users, providing technical advice, support and encouragement
* Ensure Health Club users are conforming to Health Club etiquette guidelines
* Conduct secure, appropriate and effective programs that are within your scope of practice
* General cleaning and tidying of Health Club and areas associated with your work area
Requirements for the Y
* Group Fitness Instructors:
o Nationally recognised program certification e.g. Les Mills, WETS, Mat Pilates, Zumba
o Professional Registration with applicable governing body (AusActive)
o (HLTAID011) Provide First Aid
o Cert III & IV in Fitness (Desirable)
* Health and Fitness Instructors:
o Certificate III or IV in Fitness
o (HLTAID011) Provide First Aid
