Description
We are seeking an experienced underwriter to support our major accounts division. This key role will involve building strong relationships with clients and brokers, while achieving profitability and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve personal targets by negotiating profitable transactions.
* Underwrite new risks and renewals within the Casualty portfolio.
* Provide technical leadership and collaborate with product managers on complex accounts.
* Identify and cultivate new business opportunities.
* Manage client relationships and maintain service standards for multiple clients.
* Mentor junior staff and maintain open communication with internal teams.
Qualifications
Your Skills & Experience
* Minimum of 5 years experience in Casualty or Package Underwriting and development at an insurance company.
* Strong technical underwriting knowledge combined with excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Proven ability to develop creative solutions for unique underwriting scenarios.
* Familiarity with advanced pricing techniques account servicing costs and the competitive landscape.
* Experience in managing complex accounts and developing marketing strategies.
* A record of success in a results-oriented team environment with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint.
