About the Role
We are seeking Lift Mechanics to be based in Gold Coast, Queensland.
You will be the face of the Otis brand and responsible for installing Lifts, Escalators, and Travellators in compliance with the relevant codes and Otis specifications and procedures.
In this role, you will be assigned 2-3 jobs a week by the Project Manager with various customers within Brisbane and work closely with other Installers, Electricians, Adjusters & Field Engineers, and Construction Coordinators.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation of New Equipment and Modernisation lifts and working to the highest safety and environmental standards while ensuring service targets are met.
* Ensure timely completion of defects identified during service / handing over inspection in coordination with the Project Manager.
* Maintain company tools, equipment, and materials properly and safeguard such property.
* Perform work in accordance with the relevant lift industry codes and standards.
* Comply with the company's Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures, including reporting any conditions that may impact the environment or any employee.
* Maintain and work on the Quality System.
* Attend customer handing over inspection/service inspections on installation and modernization projects.
* Identify process improvement opportunities and help facilitate continuous improvement to satisfy the customers of your processes.
Requirements
* Experience in Adjustment / Commissioning work would be beneficial.
* Has relevant Lift experience and proven ability to work safely as part of a team or independently, depending on requirements.
* Enjoys communicating with various levels of stakeholders and works closely with others in the field.
* Solutions-oriented, independent, and well organized.
* Willing to travel in & out of the region and able to work unsupervised.
* Has the ability to perform knowledge transfer on information and skills through training.
* Able to plan and prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner.
