Job Description
As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and machinery.
You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, preparing drawings and designs for mechanical engineering work, and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Your expertise will also be required for installing, removing, inspecting, and repairing mechanical spare parts, as well as performing major overhauls of equipment.
You will maintain non-electrical safety, process, and utility equipment, perform power plant rigging and lifting equipment, and carry out routine maintenance on equipment and machines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
You will work closely with engineers to support improvement projects and fabricate and repair metal products and parts using machine shop tools and equipment. Strong knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and problem-solving skills are essential to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
With excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, you must be physically fit and able to work in various conditions, working both independently and in a team environment.
You should have great work ethics and a positive attitude, with self-motivation and organization being key characteristics.
