About the role
Become the Shift Supervisor at Sea Breeze Café at Cairns Hospital, a key leadership role within our thriving café located in Cairns, Queensland. As Shift Supervisor you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring product quality, customer satisfaction, and a positive team environment. This casual position offers an opportunity to grow your management skills within the café industry.
What you'll be doing
- Supervising and coordinating the café team to ensure efficient and high-quality production and service
- Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards
- Providing hands-on support and training to café staff as needed
- Liaising with the management team to identify opportunities for process improvements
- Ensuring customer orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner
- Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Positive can-do attitude
- Days and weekends; no night shifts
What we're looking for
- Supervisory experience in a café or similar food production environment
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership role
- Experience in a fast-paced environment and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Barista experience is essential
- Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation raises funds to directly support the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service and the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service, which care for nearly 285,000 people from Tully to the Torres Strait. Our goal is to improve the quality and accessibility of health care in our region for everyone.
