We're seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team.
As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for procuring goods and services that meet our business needs.
Your expertise will directly impact our operational success, and you'll be the go-to contact on site for all procurement activities.
You'll support the planning, sourcing, tendering, and management of contracts, ensuring procurement outcomes align with our business needs.
Duties include:
* Acting as the primary site contact for all procurement activities;
* Supporting the planning, sourcing, tendering, and management of contracts;
* Ensuring procurement outcomes align with operational business needs;
* Driving continuous improvement and delivering competitive advantage through strategic contract and category management;
You'll collaborate with our Procurement Specialist – Callide to:
* Capture recurring plant maintenance business needs into procurement arrangements;
* Streamline the quote-to-order process for efficiency;
* Monitor and optimise supplier performance;
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement systems and records;
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* A Certificate, advanced diploma, associate degree, or equivalent practical experience in a commercial discipline;
* Minimum 3 years' experience in procurement and contract management within the heavy industry sector;
* Proven track record in high-profile procurement environments;
* Strong working knowledge of Queensland Government procurement frameworks and enterprise systems;
* High level interpersonal skills with a strong proven ability to achieve in a team environment;
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
