Key Data Modelling Role Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Data Modeller to play a key part in our organisation's major technology projects that aim to accelerate digital transformation across various businesses.
The ideal candidate will have experience in multiple data modelling techniques and strong skills in designing and implementing data models.
Key responsibilities include:
* Analysing business needs and translating them into long-term solution data models
* Developing conceptual, logical and physical data models using standard data modelling techniques across structured, semi-structured and unstructured datasets
* Evaluating existing data systems and developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system
* Assisting with design of data driven applications and leading data assessment and mapping activities
Responsibilities also include evaluating and enhancing an organisations data management capabilities.
Other responsibilities may include working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement robust technical solutions.
Key responsibilities may be subject to change as needed based on project requirements.
Required skills and qualifications include:
* Strong experience in data modelling design and implementation
* Experience in multiple data modelling techniques: Datavault, Kimball, 3NF
* Knowledge of data ingestion, data consumption, access & authorisation, ETL frameworks
* Good communication skills
Additional skills and qualifications that would be beneficial to applicants include knowledge of business intelligence tools and SQL programming language.
