The Henty Gold Mine is a well-established, high yield gold mine. Located on Tasmania's beautiful West Coast between the towns of Tullah and Queenstown.
About the opportunity
Reporting to the Underground Mine Manager, you will play a key role in the strategy, planning and design of Henty's underground operations.
About you
Drawing upon your proven experience as a Mining Engineer, we are seeking applicants with the following:
· Tertiary qualified in Engineering – Mining
· Experienced using mining software – Deswik and Ventsim
· Strong understanding of Legislations and Standards
Key Responsibilities
To be part of our ongoing success we are seeking the following:
· Short term scheduling inc. rolling weekly and 3 months schedules
· Ventilations reports and surveys
· Drill and blast design
· Assist in mine planning procedures
· Assist with effective management of the underground mining contractors
· Well-developed verbal and communication skills
· A desire to learn and challenge yourself
· Work closely with the mine operations team to ensure a safe and productive working environment
· An unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
· A strong understanding of mine health & safety
