About the Melbourne City Life Content Creator Role
Are you a creative and innovative videographer seeking to showcase your skills in a fast-paced start-up environment?
We are looking for a Melbourne-based content creator to join our dynamic team and produce high-quality video content that showcases the vibrant city life of Melbourne.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for creating engaging video content that highlights the best experiences, events, and restaurants in Melbourne. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of creatives and develop your skills in motion graphics, editing, and storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
* Creating experiential videos showcasing the best of Melbourne's city life
* Editing a wide range of social media videos using both original and archival footage
* Experimenting with different versions of an edit and exploring multiple directions
* Creating polished final edits with colouring, sound mix, and captions
* Identifying exciting potential video topics and arranging shoots
* Planning out interviews, storyboarding, scripting, and potentially casting
About You
We want you to join us if you have:
* Proven experience in working on professional-quality scripted and unscripted video
* Bachelor's degree or similar in Film, Design, Communication, or related field
* Confidence in writing video copy
* Social media content creation skills
* Keen interest in latest trends in social media and digital video platforms
* Ability to work independently with a team
* Willingness to work outside office hours and tight deadlines when necessary
* Passionate about city life and the topics we cover
* Excellent understanding of digital media trends

Required Skills & Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Media Encoder is required. Basic Motion graphics and titling experience is a plus, as well as confidence in creating diverse video formats such as cinemagraphs, gifs, and typographical animation.
