Perth Based - Underground Development - Finniss Lithium Project
Search Partners have partnered with Core Lithium as they develop the BP33 underground component of the Finnis River project. We're seeking a Senior Mine Planning Engineer to join the Mine Engineering team supporting the Project.
Whilst the mine site is just out of Darwin, this is a Perth office-based role, working closely with site and technical teams to support the next phase of underground development and broader mine engineering activities.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Mine Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering mine design, planning and scheduling across short, medium and long-term horizons, supporting both operational and project requirements.
This is not just a scheduling role, you will play a key part in Life of Mine planning, underground development design and production strategy, ensuring mine plans are practical, executable and aligned with operational objectives.
Working within a small, collaborative technical team, you will interact closely with geology, geotechnical engineering and site operations, helping to shape how the underground mine is developed.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop long-term and medium-term mine plans and schedules
* Contribute to Life of Mine (LOM) strategy and planning
* Produce underground mine designs (development and production)
* Integrate inputs from geology, geotechnical and site teams
* Generate development mining instructions and area plans
* Support budgeting, studies and technical projects
* Communicate mine plans to ensure alignment across operations
About You
You will bring:
* Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
* Experience in underground hard-rock mine planning and design
* Strong capability across short, medium and long-term planning
* Ability to deliver practical, executable mine plansStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
