Talent Right has partnered exclusively with TechSpan to appoint a Sales Executive for the Sydney region. This is a newly created role suited for an experienced construction sales professional ready to step into a fully scoped territory with a high volume of qualified leads and strong internal support.

TechSpan is a design-and-construct building company specialising in steel and structural building solutions across the commercial, industrial, and agribusiness sectors. With over 30 years of experience and a reputation for delivering quality and innovation, TechSpan supports clients from design to installation and prides itself on collaboration, integrity, and practical thinking.

About the Role

As a Sales Executive, you'll manage the full sales cycle from first call to contract signing, including site visits, quoting, proposal presentation, and relationship management. You'll be supported by a collaborative team of professionals and backed by a senior team that believes in high performance without micromanagement.

This role is focused on turning qualified leads into signed projects. With a steady stream of inbound enquiries from TechSpan's website, phone calls, and builder relationships, you'll be responsible for managing these opportunities through to successful close.

You'll be based in Sydney, covering clients and projects in the Sydney surrounds with some regional travel to NSW, the ACT, and southern QLD. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, with some travel each month and regular visits to TechSpan's head office in Armidale for onboarding and team collaboration.

The Ideal Candidate

You demonstrate a strong sense of accountability and a results-driven mindset, excelling in ownership, responsibility, and securing commercial outcomes. You communicate technical solutions effectively with clients, possess a solid understanding of construction drawings, and are prepared to attend site visits when required to support project delivery.

You have at least 10 years of experience in construction sales, estimating, or project management and understand how to manage complex sales cycles with clarity and precision. You enjoy independence but appreciate being part of a team that values structure, transparency, and delivering real results.

You're responsive, detail-focused, and don't leave warm leads sitting idle. Your CRM is up to date, your pipeline is clean, and your communication with both clients and internal teams is clear.

You're also flexible and adaptable—comfortable evolving with the role as the company grows, willing to take on new challenges, and open to contributing wherever the business needs you most.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the full sales cycle from lead to close
* Conduct client site visits to assess requirements and present solutions
* Maintain accurate records and pipeline tracking in the CRM (Pipedrive)
* Deliver clear communication and exceptional service at all times
* Support company growth in the Sydney and regional NSW/ACT market

Skills and Experience

* 10+ years' experience (preferred but not essential) in construction sales, estimating, or project delivery
* Strong knowledge of construction methods and terminology
* Ability to read and explain architectural and structural plans
* Experience managing clients through the entire sales process
* Excellent communication—phone, site visits, video calls, and email
* CRM proficiency (ideally Pipedrive or similar)
* Strong administrative habits and attention to detail
* Willingness to travel monthly and work independently
* Trade background or Cert IV in Building & Construction
* Read and interpret architectural and structural plans
* Knowledge of building code and council approval process.
* Familiarity with software like Microsoft Office, Bluebeam or relevant CRMs.
