We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused, team player to fill the position of Sous Chef at Port Macquarie City Bowling Club.
The purpose of this role is to plan & direct the day-to-day management of the Clubs food offerings to achieve effective and profitable service to the members, guests and visitors.
The Sous Chef is responsible for assisting in the development and setting of the restaurant and catering function menu; conducting efficient and timely ordering and stock control for the restaurant and other kitchen areas; and ensuring that all kitchen staff are trained and supervised to ensure efficient operations.
The Sous Chef is responsible and accountable for overseeing the efficient operation of the designated food service area and its staff whilst ensuring the Club's commitment to service excellence is always maintained. This encompasses leadership, mentoring, training & development of the reporting kitchen staff. Our goal is to exceed our guest's expectations.
This position is permanent. The successful applicant must be willing to work weekends and split shifts as required. To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
Qualifications & Experience:
* Relevant trade qualification e.g. Commercial Cookery.
* Kitchen management, supervisory or 3+ years of similar industry experience desirable.
* Experience in Club Industry desirable e.g. Club, restaurant or busy pub.
* Understanding of Cooking the Books software.
