The College of Aeronautics is seeking tenure-track full-time faculty members for the undergraduate and graduate aeronautical programs. Selected applicants must be in place for the Fall 2024 semester.
Responsibilities:
Teach the following undergraduate and graduate courses:
1. Aviation Meteorology (undergraduate)
2. Aviation Meteorology 2 (undergraduate)
3. Aviation Meteorology Theory and Practice (graduate)
4. Aviation Physics
5. Aerodynamics
6. Teach additional undergraduate and graduate courses according to qualifications.
7. Teach selected courses in person and via distance learning in international and domestic extended-campus programs.
8. Advise undergraduate and graduate students on academic matters and career planning.
9. Serve on division, school, and university committees as assigned.
10. Support graduate students and faculty conducting research.
Minimum Qualifications:
11. Master’s degree in meteorology/atmospheric sciences, aeronautical science (with meteorological emphasis), or a closely related field is preferred.
12. Experience in fields directly in or applicable to aviation meteorology.
13. Teaching experience.
14. Ability to apply current instructional technology in classroom and distance learning.

Annual Security & Fire Safety Report
The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires colleges and universities, both public and private, participating in federal student aid programs to disclose campus safety information, and imposes certain basic requirements for handling incidents of sexual violence and emergency situations.
Florida Tech’s 2023 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech; and on public properly within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.
The numbers provided include crime statistics that were reported to local law enforcement agencies, campus security and other Campus Security Authorities.
The report also includes institutional policy statements regarding campus safety and security measures; descriptions of prevention and awareness programs; related university procedures and important guidance; and other essential safety information.

Official Transcripts
Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment.
