Project Coordinator for Capital Works

The role of Project Coordinator for Capital Works is a key position within the DBCA. We are seeking to establish a pool of suitable candidates who can participate and coordinate capital works projects associated with the Parks and Visitor Services (PVS) Division.

* This role will be responsible for coordinating the park improvement, tourist road improvement, specific Government funded initiatives and externally funded asset investment programs.
* You will develop strategic works programs for programs such as natural disaster recovery and visitor risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, budgets and resource allocation.
* Liaise with designers, architects, engineers and other technical professions to facilitate projects.
* Prepare and coordinate the procurement process, administration and management of contracts, construction management and delivery to close out of projects.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, community and Aboriginal groups, government agencies and other organisations as required.

Requirements:

* Demonstrated experience in delivering projects and managing programs to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Experience in preparing project documentation and seeking all necessary approvals to meet statutory, design and quality requirements.
* Knowledge of recreation planning and recreation site design, in particular recreational trail design and building.
* Evidence of consulting, communicating and working effectively with project stakeholders, community and Aboriginal groups, government agencies and other organisations as required.

Selection Criteria:

* Demonstrated or considerable experience in the delivery of projects and managing programs to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Experienced or well-developed experience in preparing project documentation and seeking all necessary approvals to meet statutory, design and quality requirements.
* Demonstrated or well developed experience in contract management.
* Demonstrated or well developed knowledge of recreation planning and recreation site design, in particular recreational trail design and building.
* Evidence of well developed or highly developed experience in consulting, communicating and working effectively with project stakeholders, community and Aboriginal groups, government agencies and other organisations as required.
