We're now seeking a skilled Administration Officer to join our Northam team. This role is particularly important in supporting livestock administration and compliance, ensuring accurate traceability and documentation that keeps our operations running smoothly and in line with best industry standards.
What You'll Do
As our Administration Officer, you'll take on a broad mix of duties but with a strong emphasis on livestock documentation and customer service. Your accuracy, ability to communicate well and attention to detail will directly support compliance, customer satisfaction, and smooth day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Livestock Administration – updating the livestock board, checking National Vendor Declarations (NVDs), uploading NLIS RFID tags, ensuring compliance with livestock traceability standards, processing slaughter invoices, exporting invoices, and sending customer kill sheets daily.
* Customer Service – acting as the first point of contact, taking customer orders, entering them into the Stock Management System (SMS), and providing accurate, timely assistance.
* Office Admin – managing calls, emails, reports, compliance records, and keeping office systems up to date.
We're after someone who brings:
* Previous experience in administration (experience in agriculture or meat processing is highly regarded).
* Knowledge of livestock documentation systems (NLIS, NVDs, compliance), or a willingness to quickly learn.
* Confidence with data entry and record-keeping, ensuring accuracy at all times.
* Strong communication skills to deal with staff, customers, and suppliers.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (experience with Stock Management Systems is a plus).
* The ability to work independently as well as within a team.
