Forecast & Data Analyst Fantastic Furniture | Merchandise Planning Fantastic Furniture is looking for a commercially minded Forecast & Data Analyst to drive data-led decision making across merchandise planning, inventory management, and sales forecasting. Working closely with Buying, Planning, Supply Chain and Finance, this role plays a key part in ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time to meet customer demand and business objectives. What you'll be doing * Develop and maintain accurate SKU-level sales forecasts across categories and locations * Analyse historical sales, promotions, and seasonality to improve forecast accuracy * Monitor forecast performance using error metrics such as MAPE and bias * Partner with Buyers, Planners and Supply Chain to align forecasts with Merchandise Financial Plans * Build and maintain dashboards and reports (Excel & Power BI) to track KPIs and performance * Support promotional and event analysis in collaboration with Finance and the Data Centre of Excellence * Deliver ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects What you'll bring * 2 years' experience in forecasting, data analysis or merchandise planning (retail experience preferred) * Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills and Power BI experience * Experience working with forecasting models and large data sets * High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills * Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams * Relevant qualification in Data Analysis, Forecasting, or a related field Why join Fantastic Furniture? * Be part of a collaborative, values-led business that champions learning and innovation * Work in a role with real commercial impact and visibility * Ongoing development opportunities and exposure to cross-functional projects * Supportive team culture with a strong focus on safety, community, and continuous improvement If you're passionate about turning data into actionable insights and want to make a tangible impact, we'd love to hear from you.
