The United Protestant Association of NSW Limited is seeking a skilled Recreational Activities Officer to join our team at Murray Vale in the Riverina Murray Region.
This permanent part-time opportunity requires you to be available for weekend work. As a Recreational Activities Officer, you will play a vital role in facilitating positive health and wellbeing options for individuals, their families, and carers.
You will drive the energy, engagement, and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational, and cultural activities. Additionally, you will lead mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our residents' choices and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, organise, and lead activities for residents that meet social and recreational needs while promoting independence and increasing quality of life.
* Assess and document the effectiveness of programs by tracking residents' progress and making necessary changes.
* Hold a minimum of a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle and preferably a Senior First Aid Certificate.
* Prior experience within an aged care setting is essential.
* Develop highly developed organisation and time management skills to ensure smooth program delivery.
* Solve problems independently and effectively communicate with residents, staff, and other stakeholders.
* Understand Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes.
* Have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet/intranet skills.
