Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Mobile Developer to join our established team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in iOS development with Swift & Swift UI, with a strong understanding of backend system communication via modern APIs. A willingness to learn and adapt to new mobile technologies is essential. This represents an exciting opportunity to be involved in the modernisation of successful mission-critical solutions for high profile Australian organisations. This is a Brisbane based role with hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and build native mobile applications with a focus on maintainability, security, scalability, performance, and thorough testing.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.
* Optimize application performance and ensure high-quality user experiences by identifying and addressing bottlenecks, bugs, and potential issues.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and apply innovative solutions to enhance development efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications & Experience
* 8+ years of enterprise iOS development experience using Swift/Swift UI.
* Strong experience with UI development, including building intuitive, responsive interfaces aligned with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.
* Solid experience with SDK integration, RESTful API design and integration, and working with backend services.
* Experience with Apple Push Notification Services (APNS), Apple Wallet integration, deep links, and Keychain for secure data handling.
* Knowledge and hands‑on experience with App Store Connect, TestFlight, and the app deployment lifecycle.
* Strong working knowledge of Firebase.
* Deep understanding of source control (GIT) and branch management.
* Excellent knowledge of dependency management tools such as CocoaPods.
* Strong understanding of device data storage structures (SQL, core data, realm)
* Experience with testing frameworks and writing automated tests.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and an ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
* Knowledge of distributed systems and web services development.
* Previous experience in objective C.
* Experience with other mobile technologies such as Android.
* Exposure to Java/J2EE development exposing RESTful web services.
* Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for mobile app development, including automated build, test, and deployment processes.
* Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks for mobile.
