Job Description

- Based at our stunning beachfront office in Coolangatta, you can watch the whales pass by from your desk, or feel the sand between your toes during your lunch time walk.
- We know life isn't just about work. That's why this is a hybrid role - to help you find the right balance

What you will do:

You’ll be at the heart of delivering transformative capex projects for NRMA Parks & Resorts. This is a hands-on role where you’ll actively manage several projects at once, often in remote and iconic locations, ensuring every detail is brought to life—from the earliest master planning stages through to final commissioning.

- Lead Multi-Project Delivery: Take ownership of multiple capital works projects, juggling priorities and resources to ensure each project is delivered on time, on budget, and to NRMA’s high standards.
- Master Planning & Urban Design: Apply your expertise in master planning or urban design to develop compelling proposals, concept designs, and project plans that enhance the guest experience and future-proof our parks.
- End-to-End Project Management: Oversee every phase of the project lifecycle—from initial business case and cost modelling, through design, approvals, procurement, and construction, to final commissioning and handover.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal teams, external consultants, designers, contractors, and park staff to ensure project objectives are met and disruptions to operations are minimised.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all projects meet planning, building, and environmental regulations, and that robust WHS management systems are in place.
- Commercial & Contract Management: Manage tenders, contracts, and supplier relationships, including overseeing claims, variations, and contractual obligations to protect NRMA’s interests.
- Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Actively monitor project progress, costs, risks, and quality, providing regular updates to leadership. Contribute ideas to improve capital development processes and drive efficiencies.
- Remote Site Leadership: Travel to project locations as required, conducting inspections, resolving issues on the ground, and building strong relationships with all parties involved.

What you will bring:

- Background in master planning, urban design, or a related discipline
- Project Management related qualifications +5 years relative experience
- Demonstrated experience in hands-on management of multiple capex projects, ideally in multi-site environments
- Strong project planning, design, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven ability to deliver projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring compliance and quality
