Join our team of intelligent and collaborative Changemakers and make your mark on tomorrow In this role, you'll work with the Project Management Executive and wider Mining, Infrastructure & Project Delivery team as a Project Controller.
In this role you will utilise your understanding of the project life cycle to articulate project controls processes internal and externally. Based in Newcastle or Singleton, you will support the team on multidisciplinary mining projects and studies.

We have a comprehensive understanding of the mining industry and current issues including decarbonisation and understand future ready strategies are critical to countering these issues, capitalising on opportunities, and adding value to businesses.
**What you'll do**:
- Establish and manage the initial project cost and schedule baseline for Mining Infrastructure studies and projects.
- Prepare and review relevant project documentation.
- Gather input data from Project Engineers and Project Managers to ensure the Cost Management system outputs aligns payment claims.
- Articulate project controls processes to internal and external stakeholders.
- Partake in a client facing role, allowing you to resolve issues and understand client needs.
- Oversee the claim life cycle from initiation to processing.
- Work with study managers to review and report on progress costs, including earned value, for multidisciplinary studies of varying complexity and size.
- Support the monitoring and allocation of key resources across studies and projects through the establishment and maintenance of a portfolio of projects in each phase of pursuit and execution such as identification, proposal, execution and close out
- Review reports and other outputs and provide technical input into a diverse range of projects and ensure that work produced complies with quality system and client requirements.
- Support the preparation and costing of high-quality proposals.
**About you**:
- Bachelor degree (Finance) or equivalent relevant tertiary education (Certificate, Diploma and/or Degree) related to planning
- Demonstrated industry experience on both multidisciplinary mining projects and studies
- Experience in cost control and earned value management
- Demonstrated experience in cost control on large multidisciplinary studies and projects
- Independent thinker able to challenge norms, develop new ideas
- Proficient in MS Office and cost/finance software reporting packages.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work virtually and face-to-face within a team environment, including the motivation and development of others within your team.
